HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

An approaching front will push away the tradewind-producing high pressure fan to our north starting tonight.

Lighter winds will persist through the first part of next week. Starting Friday, the lighter winds will raise humidity levels and allow afternoon cloud build-ups, with spotty showers through the weekend.

With the slow winds, morning and evening skies will be mostly clear, mostly cloudy in the afternoon due to convection which might spawy a few downpours, maybe even a few spinners in the sky.

Surf is small islandwide, but with the light winds tomorrow, conditions should be good most everywhere. A small country boost is due Sunday or Monday, with head-high sets.
