HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Steady tradewinds are here to stay through Friday with comfortable humidity levels, good air quality, and light windward showers. Light variable winds are due over the weekend.
Leftovers from a weak front will linger around the east end of the state so the Big Island will get the brunt of the rain in the short term.
Out in the ocean a small southerly pulse will drop off tomorrow, while east shores will have some shoulder high wind swell. Box jellyfish are on their way out and should not be a problem, but it's a good idea to check with lifeguards along south shores just to be safe..
Looking ahead to the weekend, a light wind weather pattern will make a return with higher humidity levels, afternoon cloud buildups which will spawn some isolated showers, some heavy.
