KALIHI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are investigating a stabbing that seriously injured a 20-year-old man in Kalihi early Wednesday.
According to police, it happened just before 2 a.m. along a sidewalk on Pua Lane fronting the Mayor Wright Public Housing area. An unknown male stabbed the victim in the abdomen then fled the scene, police said.
The victim was rushed to the Queen's Medical Center in serious but stable condition.
Police began searching for a possible suspect following the crime, but so far no arrest has been made. It's unclear at this hour what led up to the stabbing and what connection, if any, the two may have to each other.
Officers have opened a second-degree assault case.
