HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - With everyone complaining about TSA lines, it's time for a fresh look at which airports generally have the worst delays. Whatever TSA is doing right or wrong, some airports are really congested. Who's worst these days? Let's rank them using the percentage of flights that are on time.
Starting with the worst airports for delays Newark and SFO came in as the worst airports for delays with an average of 68%. Next came LaGuardia with a 70% on-time rate, followed by Chicago's O'hare airport and New York's JFK, both with a 73% average.
Topping the list with the best on-time averages are Honolulu and Salt Lake City, tying with 86%. SeaTac and Phoenix came in with 83%, and Portland was close behind with an 82% on-time average.
