HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lighter winds have taken over the state and they're forecast to persist through next week.
However, a brief return to easterly tradewinds is due back Thursday. Variable winds will return for the weekend.
Humidity will rise to uncomfortable levels, and vog and haze will move in. We'll get afternoon clouds and showers, some heavy, maybe even spotty thunderstorms late in the day. Interior and leeward neighborhoods will be the likely targets of the downpours.
Flooding conditions are possible for the next several days.
Morning skies will be clear with afternoon cloud buildups followed by evening clearing. Temperatures will run in the upper 80s.
A new south swell is due Thursday with head high sets at the better spots. A small wrap is expected along west sides.
