HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Last night on "The Voice"...judge Christina Aguilera's protege took home the top prize. The show crowned Alisan Porter winner of its 10th season. History was made when she become the first woman to ever win on the show after being mentored by a female coach. Way back during her audition coach Adam Levine predicted she would win.
If you don't remember, Alison is a former child actress, who hit it big at the age of ten as the star of the John Hughes movie "Curly Sue."

Na Hoku Hanohano Award Recording Artist Jake Shimabukuro announced the new tour schedule for 2016. Jake will criss-cross the Continental United States, head to Canada and Japan with dates in Hawaii.
Jake says, "I have a new setup for my electric ukulele that gives me access to new sounds and timbres that I never incorporated before. I'll be performing lots of new material as well as new arrangements of old songs.
