HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A light wind weather pattern has taken over the state and it's forecast to linger through the weekend. Heavy afternoon/early evening downpours are likely for the next several days along with increasing amounts of vog and humidity.
WHAT TO EXPECT: For the second half of the week, you can expect south winds to take over the state. This will bring some haze to the islands throughout the week. Expect afternoon showers to develop with this pattern after the heat of the day along with humid conditions. For those sensitive to the vog, we will likely have a string of days with the trade winds absent. Drink plenty of water and take care of yourself with limited time outside during the heat of the day. The haze will likely thicken on Friday.
A decent south boost picked up today and will hold tomorrow with head high sets, another bigger pulse is due Thursday.
