HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The best weather on the planet will hold through the weekend. Breezy tradewinds will pick up to 15-25 mph keeping the air quality good with comfortable humidity levels. Showers will be limited to a few light splashes favoring windward neighborhoods, falling mainly during the overnight and early morning hours.
The south swell will be dropping through the weekend, while the choppy east swell will hold with some chest to head high sets. A south pulse is possible the first part of next week.
So to sum it up... moderate to at times locally breezy trade winds will dominate the weather across the state through this weekend. Low clouds and showers carried by the trades will remain focused over windward and mauka areas, with brief showers occasionally passing over leeward sections of some islands.
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY posted for the waters around Maui and the Big Island.
