PEARL HARBOR (HawaiiNewsNow) - Several people were injured in a head-on collision on Kamehameha Highway near Pearl Harbor Wednesday afternoon, Honolulu police said.

Police said the driver of a Mercedes sedan was speeding when he was going the wrong way on Kamehameha Highway. That's when he struck another sedan at the Arizona Memorial Place intersection.

The 28-year-old man from Honolulu was taken to the Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said three visitors from Arizona were also in the other car.

Two women, ages 45 and 49, and an 18-year-old man were taken to Queen's in serious condition.

HPD temporarily closed all east bound lanes of Kamehameha Highway in the area to investigate.
