HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lahainaluna hoops standout Keleah-Aiko Koloi will continue to play basketball in Hawaii.
Rainbow Wahine head basketball coach Laura Beeman says Koloi has commited to play basketball at the University of Hawaii.
Koloi is a six-foot forward who helped lead the Lunas to a 24-3 record and MIL championship this season. Under head coach Todd Rickard, Koloi averaged 16.5 points and nine rebounds per game and earned all-league first team honors as both a junior and a senior.
"We are excited to announce the addition of Keleah to our program," says Beeman. "She will bring a hard-nosed attitude to our post play this year. Her ability to run the floor and go get rebounds will fit nicely into our style of play. Keleah's desire to stay home and play for the University of Hawai'i is exciting to see and we are thrilled she has decided to stay home and represent her state in a Rainbow Wahine uniform."
