6 dogs stolen from Kauai animal shelter

LIHUE, KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police are investigating the theft of six dogs from the Kauai Humane Society over the weekend, and a reward is offered for their safe return.

Sometime overnight on Saturday, police say someone cut the lock off a side gate to the shelter where the dogs are kept.

The following dogs were stolen:

  • Three female Pit Bull mix, ranging in age from two to seven years old
  • Two female Airedales, ages two and five
  • One female lab mix, two months old

The puppy, named Arianna, is microchipped.

Anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of whoever took the dogs could receive a reward of up to $5,000 from the Humane Society of the United States. Call Police Dispatch at 241-1711 or CrimeStoppers at 246-8300 with tips.
