HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker presents the president's E-Awards for export service. The NELHA industrial park near Kona airport won one. Another went to the Hawaii Tourism Authority. HTA won it for pushing Hawaii tourism. NELHA won for nurturing Hawaii aquaculture, which has doubled since 2011 and is now a $78 million a year business.

University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union posts a first quarter net of $1.4 million – assets rising to $583 million.

Kaiser names a Hawaii regional director of strategic communications. Noe Foster co-founded HealthTechApps, and before that worked for AlohaCare.

Hawaii Pacific University names a dean for its College of Natural and Computational Sciences. Brenda Hensen's doctorate is from MIT and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

Grand opening today for European Wax Center at Kahala Mall. Blessing at 1:30. Dave and Jennifer Pang already have one at Pearl Highlands.

PBN reports Andrew and Alex Le plan a second location of their restaurant "The Pig & the Lady." The new one will go in the Kua Aina space at Ward Village.

The Ninth Annual Hawaii Restaurant Association Golf Tournament will be held June 9th at Hawaii Prince Golf Course.

Iolani School has its summer Jazz Institute starting June 9th – the jazz band from the University of Texas at Arlington will be here.
