Man accused of stealing golf club in Mililani arrested

MILILANI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A man caught on surveillance video putting a golf club down the side of his pants was arrested on Wednesday, Honolulu police said.

Police arrested 42-year-old Brook Ken Lopaka Barefoot on Lemiwai Street in Wahiawa for second-degree theft and two contempt warrants. He was, however, released pending investigation.

The theft happened on April 15 at the Mililani Golf Club pro shop. Police said the golf club was valued at $499.

Police released surveillance video on May 16, asking the public to help them find the suspect.
