HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Breezy tradewinds have moved over the state and are expected to persist through Wednesday. Light showers will favor windward areas, falling mainly in the overnight and early morning hours with light to moderate rainfall totals.
An approaching cold front will push the wind producing high pressure system to our east Thursday resulting in slower easterly winds through Friday. The front is expected to drop in close enough to the state to bring a slight increase in passing showers..
As far as surf, we are tracking a series of south swells. A larger swell will take on townside on Wednesday. We are also expecting for a bump on east facing shores due to the trade winds strengthening.
