Clouds and showers are expected to diminish overnight for the smaller islands, but light winds will allow clouds and showers to develop Sunday afternoon. The overall wind flow is from the east-southeast, which means we'll also have some volcanic haze spreading from the Big Island. The good news is that trade winds will return Sunday night and could become locally breezy by Tuesday.
Surf will be rather quiet on Sunday, with north shores at 3-5 feet and dropping. We're also looking at a series of small south swells through Tuesday, with a slightly larger swell rising Wednesday and peaking Thursday.
