HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Light variable winds have taken over and are forecast to persist through Sunday.
Elevated humidity levels along with a build-up of vog and haze are expected.
Remnants from an old cold front will move north from the Big Island sometime Saturday increasing the chance for showers. Afternoon spotty downpours are likely over the weekend, especially for leeward and interior areas.
A small, long-period northwest swell is expected to slowly decline over the weekend.
South shores will continue to see small long period swells through Monday, with a small boost expected Monday night and continuing through midweek.
A short-period tradewind swell will affect east facing shores early next week as the trade winds increase.
