HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - New and expectant military moms are often far from home and any type of support network. That's why Operation Homefront is offering up Star Spangled Babies. It's a free baby shower that provides educational information and a networking venue for mothers. There will also be baby essentials given away to help the families get started. It's specifically for moms from active-duty E-1 though E-6 families or post 9/11 wounded, ill or injured of all ranks.
Go to operationhomefront.net/event/list to register before the event. It's on May 14, 2016 at the Moanalua Terrace Community Center from 10am to 1pm. Organizers said that this year's event is full but there is a waiting list.
