HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Steady tradewinds will continue Thursday night through early Friday, with comfortable humidity levels and great air quality. Showers will favor windward sides of Maui and the Big Island.
Light variable winds take over Friday afternoon and will persist through Sunday. Humidity levels will be elevated with a buildup of vog and haze expected, especially over the weekend. Afternoon cloud build-ups are likely along with spotty downpours.
Surf along all shores will remain below advisory levels through the next several days.
A small long-period northwest swell is expected to arrive Friday, then will slowly decline over the weekend.
South shores will continue to see small long-period swells, with a small bump expected to arrive late Monday. Short-period trade wind swell will cause surf to build across east-facing shores early next week as the trade winds increase.
There are no marine or weather advisories are posted.
