HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - In the past few years, Honolulu nabbed the top spots for worst traffic in the nation.
So it should probably come as no surprise that Hawaii drivers also feel the angriest behind the wheel compared to drivers in other states.
That's the conclusion of a new report, which analyzed 65,500 Instagram posts with the hashtag #roadrage.
The report, from Auto Insurance Center, analyzed the social media posts to get insights on American drivers' habits.
The company found that the majority of the posts came from Hawaii drivers, followed by California drivers.
The report says Hawaii's bad traffic and high number of tourists likely lead to more stressful situations on Hawaii roads. When it came to cities, however, Honolulu ranked No. 22. The city that experienced the most road rage was Los Angeles.
Based on the report's findings, August seemed to be the worst month for the nation's drivers. In terms of day of the week, Friday was the worst. And for time of day, #roadrage posts increased through the day, peaking at 6 p.m.
