Honolulu firefighters responded early Wednesday to a two-alarm building fire in Ahuimanu.

Approximately 30 firefighters arrived to a home on Hui Koloa Place around 3:30 a.m. to find heavy smoke coming from a ground-floor bedroom window. Crews managed to get the flames under control by about 3:55 a.m. It was fully extinguished by 4:10 a.m.

The Honolulu Fire Department said a man and woman were home at the time of the fire but were both able to evacuate.

The other person in the house was not injured.
