A weakening cold front is forecast to stall over Maui, keeping unsettled weather over the eastern end of the state, possibly for the next few days. Mother's Day for Maui and the Big Island will be wet, especially for windward areas, while Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai should be drier with breezy northeast winds.

High Surf Advisory remains in effect for south-facing shores through 6 p.m. Sunday for a long-period swell. Waves will peak at 5-8 feet Saturday. A relatively short-period NNW swell is forecast to rise Saturday.
