HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A High Surf Advisory has been extended for the south-facing shores of all islands until 6 p.m. Sunday.
The National Weather Service said a long period south swell will slowly subside through early next week.
Forecasters expect waves of 5 to 8 feet.
The swell could bring strong breaking waves, shore breaks and strong currents that will make swimming dangerous.
Beachgoers, swimmers and surfers should heed all advice from ocean safety officials.
