SandBows split games with UCLA, FSU at NCAA tournament

The University of Hawaii Beach Volleyball team ended day one of the NCAA Tournament with a 1-1 record on Friday at Gulf Place Courts in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

The Rainbow Wahine (17-9) swept UCLA (20-7) in 3 sets, advancing the SandBows to the winner’s bracket. They later later lost the afternoon match to top-ranked Florida State (31-1) in 5 sets.

The 'Bows will play in the losers bracket against Arizona on Saturday in an elimination match that begins at 8 a.m. Hawaii time.

The match will be livestreamed on NCAA.org.
