HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Kamalei Correa was in for a bit of a rude awakening when he looked over his first NFL contract.
"First off, the taxes on that contract... Man, that hurt," Correa joked with reporters.
Correa, an alumnus of Saint Louis School, and former Punahou defensive star DeForest Buckner, drafted seventh overall by the San Francisco 49ers, both signed rookie contracts on Friday.
According to the website Forbes.com, Buckner's four year deal is worth $18.2 million, with an $11.4 million signing bonus.
The terms of Correa's contract were not immediately available.
