HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A cold front will be passing through the state tonight and tomorrow with scattered showers. Winds will shift to northeasterly tradewinds behind the front bringing in better air quality and lower humidity levels.
The front will move over Kauai and Oahu tonight, then move onto Maui and the Big Island Saturday where it will stall and dissipate. Cloudy damp conditions will persist through Sunday for the east end of the state while Kauai and Oahu clear out over the weekend.
Surf has eased along north, west and east shores. A new, small NNW swell is due tonight. South shores continue to see some action with waves approaching advisory levels Saturday.
No marine or weather advisories are posted.
