Maui police took two suspects into custody over the weekend of April in connection with a murder investigation in late March.
Healohaomakanaamekai Akahi Pua, 24, of Haiku was arrested Saturday afternoon just before 3 p.m.
A 16-year-old boy from Wailuku was taken into custody Friday evening shortly after 6 p.m.
The arrests were made in connection to the murder investigation of Michael Colby whose body was found on March 19.
Colby's body was discovered by a beach-goer off of Kaa Point in Kahului; it was spotted next to a blue pickup truck on Amala Place.
An autopsy determined Colby died of injuries he suffered a day prior to the his body's discovery.
Akahi Pua has been charged with second degree murder, his bail has been set at $1 million.
The teen has yet to be charged.
