Forecast: Locally breezy trades, some showers to start the week

High pressure will remain to the north of the islands and keep the trade winds blowing through the week. Showers will ride in on the trades for windward and mauka areas, with some of the showers pushed over to leeward sides of the smaller islands. No major changes are expected for much of the week.

Surf will be small Monday, with most areas at 1-3 feet, and east shores with a choppy two to four foot trade swell. A small northwest swell will rise late Monday night and peak Tuesday below advisory levels. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for channels east of Molokai and coastal waters south and west of the Big Island.
