HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The postseason formula for the Rainbow Warriors was simple: win the MPSF tournament and advance, or lose and witness the end of the season, with no chance at the NCAA tournament.
Despite the momentum of 6 wins in their last 8 matches, the Rainbow Warrior volleyball team played it's final game of the season on Saturday, falling to the Bruins of UCLA (16-25, 16-25, 25-22, 21-25) in the opening round of the MPSF tournament.
The Bruins, led by sophomore outside hitter Jake Arnitz (16 kills, .483), hit .362 as a team against Hawaii on Saturday. UCLA notched 10 service aces on the evening.
The match was the final outing for All-Americans Sinisa Zarcovic and Kolby Kanetake.
