Leftover moisture from an old cold front will increase showers for Kauai and Oahu into Sunday, spreading to Maui County and the Big Island Sunday into Monday. Rainfall totals shouldn't be that heavy, but it will be a bit damp, especially for windward areas. Trade winds will also increase by Sunday afternoon to about 15 to 25 miles per hour with some locally higher gusts.
Trade winds will remain a bit breezy into Monday, but the moisture should be leaving the area by Tuesday, ushering a relatively quiet period of trade wind weather for most of the work week.
At the beach, a High Surf Advisory has been extended until 6 a.m. Sunday. for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai, and north shores of Maui. There's also a Small Craft Advisory posted for coastal waters around Kauai, Niihau and Oahu, and channel waters around Maui County.
