The breezy trade winds will weaken today while a less stable atmosphere will likely enhance the shower activity. Most of the moisture will fall on windward and mauka neighborhoods with some spreading leeward.
The trades will strengthen again on Sunday into Monday and push a band of moisture southward across the islands. Moderate trade winds and a typical shower pattern will dominate next week.
High today in Honolulu will be 84 degrees.
Surf is rising along north and west shores and will be advisory level by afternoon. The National Weather Service forecast calls for 15-20 feet north, 8-14 feet west, 4-6 feet east, 1-3 feet south.
