Breezy and gusty trade winds will weaken slightly later today and Friday, then strengthen once again Sunday.

Little change in the rainfall pattern is expected today, with showers expected to become more active over portions of the state on Friday and the weekend.

Trade wind weather will continue next week.

High in Honolulu today will be 84 degrees. Warmer temperature are expected next week.

Surf continues to be large and rough along east facing shores. That trade wind swell will diminish Friday and Saturday with a new northwest arriving tonight and building to advisory level on Friday. The National Weather Service says waves will be 5-8 feet east, 3-5 feet north, 1-3 feet west and south.

High Surf Advisory for east facing shores on Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island.

Small Craft Advisory for all channel and coastal waters.
