Forecast: Tradewinds expected to last all week

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Breezy, gusty tradewinds will rule through Friday. Scattered showers are likely, focusing mainly over windward neighborhoods with light to moderate rainfall totals. Leeward sides will only get isolated showers and plenty of sunshine. Our winds will slow down into the weekend.

As far as surf, the high surf advisory continues today as the current northwest swell is expected to produce advisory level surf heights along most north and west facing shores of the smaller islands. The swell will drop below advisory levels Wednesday.

High Surf Advisory north and west shores.

Small Craft Advisory for all channel and coastal waters due to elevated wind and seas.
