HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A witness says the man accused of manslaughter in a crash that killed an HPD officer four years ago was speeding, according to the Star Advertiser.

The witness, a motorcyclist who was traveling on the H-1 says Scott Ebert was going about 100 miles per hour moments before the fiery crash that killed Officer Garrett Davis.

Another witness testified Ebert was traveling at 75-80 miles per hour when he hit the back of Officer Davis' patrol car.

Prior to the crash, Officer Davis was pulled over, with his blue lights on, helping another car on the freeway.
