HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A breezy trade wind pattern will continue through Thursday, as a strong area of high pressure parks north of the islands.  Clouds and passing showers will be focused on windward and mauka neighborhoods.  A few showers may reach leeward sides for some liquid sunshine.  The trade winds are bringing choppy seas -- prompting a Small Craft Advisory to our coastal waters. By Friday, a trough, an area of low pressure will get in the way of that area of high pressure... and then our winds will slow down into the weekend.

As far as surf, the high surf advisory continues today as the current northwest swell is expected to produce advisory level surf heights along most north and west facing shores of the smaller islands.
