Suspect arrested in critical Waipahu shooting

Joshua Leotu, 36, was taken into custody Wednesday night and another male suspect is still on the run following a shooting in Waipahu that left a man in critical condition.

Police say there was an argument on Pupukahi Street at about 6:50 p.m. on Wednesday when someone opened fire. A 33-year-old man was reportedly shot in the leg.

The man was listed in critical condition but authorities say he's expected to survive.

Leotu was arrested at about 10 p.m. at his home on Pupupuhi Street which is in close proximity to where the shooting occured.

No description for the second suspect has been released.
