Tradewinds will return Friday and speed up slightly through the weekend.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect until 6 a.m. Friday for north- and west-facing shores of Kauai, Niihau, Oahu, and Molokai, north-facing shores of Maui, and west-facing shores of the Big Island.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. for Kauai northwest waters, Kauai windward waters, Kauai leeward waters, Kauai channel, Oahu windward waters, Kaiwi Channel, Maui county windward waters, Alenuihaha channel, and Big Island windward waters.
