HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A new era has begun for the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior Football program as Nick Rolovich steps onto the field as head coach.  Today is the first day of spring practice, the first day that organized practices can begin according to NCAA rules.

Nick Rolovich spent time in the NFL, Europe and arena football. In 2008 he was the quarterbacks coach and then offensive coordinator for the University of Hawaii, before being an assistant coach at the University of Nevada.

On Nov. 27, 2015, Rolovich was hired as the new head football coach at the University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior program.

We talked to Athletics Director David Matlin this morning, who reminded everyone that season tickets are on sale now.
