A weak cold front will pass over the state tonight and Tuesday, bringing light scattered showers, breezy west winds and elevated humidity levels.

Lighter winds with drier conditions are due back Wednesday. More comfortable humidity levels will return Thursday, with light tradewinds making a comeback.

A Wind Advisory for Big Island summits is in effect until 6 p.m. Tuesday. Winds will be westerly, blowing at 25-50 mph with gusts to 60 mph.

Meanwhile, the surf will be rising dramatically Tuesday afternoon. A huge northwest swell is due to reach warning levels Tuesday night through Wednesday, although conditions will be choppy and messy due to the breezy westerly winds.
