HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Shirokiya will be closing its doors at the end of the month, and re-opening in Ala Moana Center's new Ewa Wing in June.
Shirokiya's new location on the ground floor of the new wing will be 44,680 square feet, and feature 50 food vendors, six Japanese traditional product shops, five beer stations, 800 seats and a shopping alley with crafts and artisans.
The popular store featuring Japanese food and products has been in the islands since 1959.
Through March 31, Shirokiya's hours will remain the same: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the mall level and 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for the second floor eateries.
Shirokiya will have a moving sale during its last week in its current location.
