From CONTACT 2016:

The annual CONTACT 2016 art exhibition opens this Thursday, 3/24, at the Honolulu Museum of Art School.  A three week long juried exhibition, the show will include works from Hawai‘i’s contemporary artists exploring the theme of Foreign and Familiar. The event kicks off with an opening night pa’ina from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, open to the public.  All are welcome to celebrate the exhibition with the artists, curators, organizers and sponsors, and enjoy great dialogue, pupu, and music.  Last year, over 800 art enthusiasts attended the CONTACT 2015 opening event.

Confirmed CONTACT 2016 artists include Solomon Enos, Cory Taum, Olivier Koning, Nina Yuen, Imaikalani Kalahele, Kahi Ching, Hanale Hopfe, Momi Green, Tomiko Jones, Harinani Orme, Mahi La Pierre, Debby Young, Aulii Mitchell, Bernice Akamine, Linny Morris, Sonny Ganaden, Joshua Lake, PARADISE COVE, Jerry Vasconcellos, Kaui Chun, Michelle Schwengel-Regala, Deanna Gabiga, TUTUVI, Jan Becket, and Diana Lehr.

All Contact 2016 events are located at the Honolulu Museum of Art School and are free and open to the public.
