PUUNENE, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Hawaii Commercial & Sugar Company has been cited for agricultural burning permit violations, the state Department of Health said Thursday.
The violations, which were self-reported, occurred in May, June and July 2015, according to the DOH. HC&S has already paid off the $8,300 penalty.
The DOH did not have further details.
This comes as HC&S gets ready to end its operations by late 2016.
