More than 30 Honolulu firefighters on Tuesday morning battled a two-alarm fire that caused approximately $120,000 in damages to a single-story duplex in Waimanalo, the Honolulu Fire Department said.

Firefighters arrived around 10:15 a.m. near the intersection of Poalima Place and Poalima Street to find a single unit fully involved. Crews managed to get the flames under control at 10:35 a.m. and extinguished by 11:35 a.m.

According to HFD Capt. David Jenkins, no one was home at the time of the fire, but a neighbor evacuated uninjured.

The American Red Cross has been dispatched to assist anyone affected.
