Word from Queen's Medical Center where Cyril Pahinui is recovering from surgery: "Mahalo for the love, good thoughts, love and aloha to everyone all around the world who have expressed their love and hope for a quick recovery for Uncle Cyril."
Cyril's wife Chelle Pahinui said that Cyril has made "good progress this morning. Now we need rest and recovery. We want to express our aloha for the love and prayers going out from so many people. It is overwhelming and humbling that so many people have circled the world with a lei of prayer and thoughts of aloha. We talk of the possibilities for aloha to blanket the world with love. It's message has spread through the hospital or at least the 6th floor."
She also mentioned about the care that Cyril is receiving as she says "the staff at Queen's is amazing and as Cyril signed this morning, "Thank you!" Cyril wrote that on a piece of paper that he asked for and shared it with his nurses.
The Pahinui family is also limiting the amount of visitors since they are in ICU, "as much for Cyril's healing as for all of those here on our floor", said Chelle Pahinui.
