A High Surf Advisory is in effect for the north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu and Molokai and the north shores of Maui and the Big Island until noon Monday.

The advisory replaces the High Surf Warning that had been in effect.

The National Weather Service forecasts waves of 10 to 15 feet for north shores, and 8 to 12 feet for west shores.

Beach goers, swimmers and surfers should heed all advice from ocean safety officials and use extreme caution in the water.
