HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan has agreed to join first-year head coach Savai'i Eselu's staff at Moanalua, Eselu told Hawaii News Now on Wednesday.
Brennan, who was a Heisman Trophy finalist during Hawaii's undefeated campaign in 2007, will coach the quarterbacks for Na Menehune, joining a staff that already includes Nate Ilaoa, a former teammate of Brennan's.
"We are extremely excited landing someone like Colt on staff," said Eselu. "The firsthand knowledge he brings is tremendous in developing all of our kids, not just at QB. Fielding another young guy like him just makes it all the better to compete everyday and just have fun."
Brennan will immediately work with senior-to-be Alaka'i Yuen, a six-foot-four, 190 pound quarterback who threw for 2,439 yardsa and 27 touchdowns last season.
