Teach For America-Hawai‘i’s School’s Cool 10th Anniversary Celebration

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Teach For America - Hawai'i invites folks to join them for their 2016 School's Cool event and help celebrate their first 10 years. Guests will enjoy an inspiring and fun "Back to School" themed evening learning and playing with teachers at the Howard Hughes Ward Village headquarters (old IBM Building) which will be transformed to a magical school setting complete with classrooms, playground, cafeteria, principal's office, and extra special detention room.

TFA-Hawai'i began with 50 teachers on the Leeward Coast of O'ahu. Today, there are over 375 corps members and alumni here in Hawai'i, on O'ahu and Hawai'i Island. Their mission is to enlist, develop, and mobilize a group of our nation's most promising future leaders to grow and strengthen the movement for educational equity.

The event will be on Tuesday, March 29, with festivities beginning at 5:30pm at the The Howard Hughes Corporation IBM Building at 1240 Ala Moana Boulevard.
