The U.S. Marine who died after his fishing boat capsized in Kaneohe Bay on March 4 has been identified.

The body of 24-year-old Sgt. Jaylon T. Walker was found the next morning.

Sgt. Walker is from Garland, Texas, and reported to active duty on June 13, 2011.

Authorities say a rogue wave overturned Walkers 17-foot Boston Whaler vessel.

Walker and two other men were said to be on a fishing trip. The two other men were able to swim back to shore.

The U.S. Marine Corps released a statement of condolence to Walker's loved ones.

"Sgt. Walker was a fine Marine and will be truly missed by everyone here in the squadron. We honor his service and his contribution to the Marine Corps and our nation. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends," said Lt. Col. Robert Flannery.
