HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A 75-year-old Honolulu woman has died from injuries she sustained after being hit by a car while crossing South King Street in the McCully area.
Honolulu police say the woman was hit just after 7 p.m. Friday in the intersection of South King Street and Hauoli Street.
According to a witness the driver, a 90-year-old Honolulu woman, did not initially stop when she hit the pedestrian and was chased down by a passerby.
The 75-year-old was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the incident.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
