Forecast: Relief from vog in sight, but it will be short-lived

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The light variable winds will persist Friday, which means more voggy skies with slightly higher humidity levels. Rainfall will remain minimal. Light tradewinds are due back for a brief time Saturday, but on Sunday the scrambled winds will return with more vog.

Out in the ocean the big country swell will slowly drop, although wave heights will remain dangerous.

A High Surf Warning is in effect for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai... north shores of Oahu, Molokai, Maui.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect for north and west shores of Hawaii Island. Small Craft Advisory all channel and coastal waters.

Caution to Mariners due to waves and surge in harbors with northern exposure.
