HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A cool and dry start to our Thursday. The northerly winds are gone, but they were here long enough to bring us some very cool and dry air.
Very few showers are showing up on radar. Some rain is falling just to the east of the Big Island. Unfortunately drainage winds have kept the much-needed moisture at bay.
Partly to mostly sunny skies are forecast across the state. Afternoon heating may create a few interior clouds and showers.
High in Honolulu will be 81 degrees.
Surf continues to be dangerously big. The National Weather Service forecast calls for 20-30 feet north, 12-20 feet west, 3-5 feet east, 1-3 feet south.
High Surf Warning for north and west shores of Niihau, Kauai... north shores of Oahu, Molokai, Maui.
High Surf Advisory for north and west shores of Hawaii Island. Small Craft Advisory all channel and coastal waters.
Caution to Mariners due to waves and surge in harbors with northern exposure.
Box Jelly Fish possible for one more day along south shores. Check with lifeguards before you let the kids get in the ocean.
